This is the STC Refitted Excelsior Class Refit.
It Comes with Interior Rooms, Hallways, Bridge, Main Engineering, etc. with Fully Functional Operations. All Ships are Capable of Flight and have detailed Exteriors.
Needs major update
When you rez the ship from your inventory there is no copy left in the folder so if you accidentally delete or move a piece out of place you have no back up. The ship is also in pieces so that makes picking it up/ clean up a mess. The entire ship is poorly textured and it still uses pose balls for even basic seating. I would not recommend buying this for anything less than $100 until the creator fixes and updates the ship. There is no manual or directions for anything.The only redeeming factor is the exterior look pretty good. Ask to see in world prior to buying!
It's Good but...
This ship is extremely good and well designed but is not without its problems..
First i will focus on the positives.. The ship looks brilliant on the outside, the ship does indeed fly even with all the rooms, hallways etc all rezzed.. That part is epic and its very clever how effectively this ship moves all its parts in sync.. The weapons systems look and sound terrific. The over all quality of the build is very reasonable and looks very nice for the most part...
The minor negatives are.. NO INSTRUCTIONS. There are no buttons to switch stuff of. It largely uses chat commands you have to figure out for yourself. Some commands are obvious but others are not.. NO REZZOR.. this ship is all a bunch of linksets.. So if you buy this be prepared to learn how to do coalesced grabs. Also be aware that the main bridge seat link-set although Copy/Mod when rezzed in world it will say its no perms coz of whatever files, scripts or sounds that are no perms in it.. I was only able to find one such sound file in it so theoretically the perms can be fixed if you can find the offending culprits in the link-set. ( but really the creator needs to do this, fix it and sell it properly in a rezzor). It also has some repetitive texturing but of course this is easily fixed if you good at modding. Last but surely not least it has MINOR SCRIPT ERRORS. The weapon systems will throw up script errors galore when using it sometimes and shuttle bay doors do not work at all with either door button or chat commands.
So aside from those minor annoyances this is a brilliant little ship and is a great fixer upper. Its definitely worth the price I paid but no more.. I would say these are a great base foundation for fans of modding but is still in need of a lot of work to make it truly epic.. So I'm only taking one star off for having no instructions, no rezzor, buggy script and perm problems. But it still looks great and fun to fly. :)
