Hay and bales of hay are a common sight around all ranching or farming communities. Hay generally has a very high nutrient content and is often used as a food supplement when animals can not be grazed on grasslands. Countryside bales of hay will add realism to your farm or ranch.
Straw generally has a very low nutrient content and not generally used as a food supplement. However, straw is widely used for bedding in barns, stalls, and any outbuilding where it's high insulation properties are highly valued.
Move the feed pile into your barn at the floor level, or leave it inside your corral . Put it in your field under a shelter to protect it from the weather.
