S&W PBY Catalina - Israeli Air Force 3401 - Paint kit
--------------------------------------------------------------

** Note: Aircraft Not Included **

History
-----------
Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina Israeli Air Force #3401, 69 "Hammers" Squadron, Haifa, 1954.

Between 1951 and 1956, three PBY-5A models of the Catalina served alongside the Israeli Air Force Hammer squadron's three B-17 bombers. The Catalinas served in their original US Navy FS15042 Gloss Dark Sea Blue colour and had four digit identification numbers 3401, 3402 and 3403 assigned. Roundels were applied on both sides of the nose, atop the right wing and to the bottom of the left wing. The four-digit ID number was applied to the vertical fin root and inboard of the wing ID roundels.

Paint kit
-----------------
This is a paint kit for the PBY-5A Catalina made by Spijkers & Wingtips.

It comprises 18 textures and 17 specular map textures.

The textures are designed to work with Advanced Lighting Model (ALM) turned on or off. Of course, the subtle satin finish is best viewed with ALM turned on as the surfaces have very slight differences in their shininess. Most people will fly with ALM turned off I suppose so there is a mix of gloss and matt finished surfaces. You can change this if you desire by editing the face of the part you want to change.

The textures install automatically on the default version 1.11 of the Spijkers & Wingtips Catalina model. The paint applier script should work with other versions, but if not, please contact me.

To apply the Israeli Air Force paint
--------------------------------------------
1. Rez a default textured Catalina.
2. Edit it, and add the 'S&W PBY Catalina - Israeli Air Force 3401 - AutoPainter - v1.6' script to the contents of the plane.
3. Close Edit, and click the plane. The textures will apply. The script will auto delete.
4. Rename the plane to differentiate this colour scheme from the standard.
5. Take back the plane into inventory to save this new painted version.

If the plane is updated in the future and if the paint script doesn't work after the update, contact me and I'll update the script.

Any issues, please contact me.

I can add a custom number and nose art to your plane. My rates are reasonable, and depend on the time and complexity of the work. Please contact me for more info.
