"SafetyPin is a simple tool that remembers the position an object was at when you take it to inventory. The next time you rez or wear that object, SafetyPin puts it back in that position. That's all it does.
What makes it useful is that it is able to restore an object to the position you left it no matter whether you rez it or wear it, or which attach point you wear it on."
