This is my favorite look for my avi! I used a different shade of the skin then what was in the notecard. I had issues with the 'lighter" look of my avi, but I found that if you disable atmospheric shaders and/or advanced lighting model in graphics, then the skin texture looks so much better if you're using the CalWl windlight and have everything else maxed out.
