Want to quickly control who can sit and select menus on your furniture all at once? Using this modified root-security script derived from AVsitter software you can set Sit and Menu options for All, Owner or Group, just by typing a message in chat. Others typing the same message will be ignored because they do not own your items.
Set Sit and Menu security settings for all your AVsitter enabled items around at once by just typing a short command in chat, without having to sit on each one them, select Adjust menu, then Security menu, then your setting for Sit and Menu. Is very easy to add this time saving feature just replacing the regular root-security script with this modified version.
These messages are recognized from item owner by all AVsitter furniture with modified root-security script that is whithin chat range:
/1 sitall ... Everyone can sit
/1 sitowner ... Only owner can sit
/1 sitgroup ... Only people with same group as item active can sit
/1 menuall ... Everyone can open menus and choose poses
/1 menuowner
/1 menugroup
/1 secall ... Everyone can sit and open menus and choose poses
/1 secowner ... Only owner...
/1 secgroup
Other people will not see these commands typed in local chat because they are routed to private channel 1.
Security settings can even be changed by owner while owner and other people are sitting on items to be controlled.
You can adjust items you own that are beyond normal chat range by shouting your command. In Firestorm viewer you press Ctrl+Enter to send it as a shout instead of just Enter.
Itens you own in nearby regions can be also controlled as long as they are within the range of your message.
This modified script is for end users only. It will not be available with transfer permissions for builders.
Updated June 2025 :: New Link Message Relay feature, that is the script will relay owner commands as link messages. This way you can have a script in a linked prim other than root that will listen for "secall" and do something, for example setting up access level for other actions that script performs. Includes an example script that gets relay message.
