The Amazing 1 Prim Keyboard (well 6 if you include the display)

The working part of this keyboard truly is only 1 prim. It detects which key you are pressing and displays input of up to 25 characters on those other pesky 5 prims. So if you have ever wanted *true* input from a keyboard in Second Life, then this is for you.

This product is primarily used as a tool for scripter/builders to use in their creations. It's full perm (apart from the scripts). A template API script (full perm) is provided in the keyboard so you can receive user input into your own script and take the appropriate action.

e.g you might type "close door" or "lock door". This will be received by the API script and you then simply issue those commands to the door from the API script via whichever communication channel they happen to be using. (that's for you to know, not me). You could use it as a wall pad to enter a password for the door, so only those who know the password can open the door.

You might use it in a shop to allow customers to enter a short message or query. The API script could then IM or email the owner.

You could even wear it as a HUD to have some alphanumeric input directly on your screen. You'd have to make it a bit smaller to have it as a HUD though.

You could just leave it on a desk to look pretty and for avatars to play with!!

There are dozens of applications!

I've provided the tool. You provide the imagination as to how it can be used. All I know is that I will be enhancing many of my existing scripts to interface with this useful tool :-)
