This is a fabulous way to show an slideshow and link to a website for more information. It is made with sculpted pieces and looks slick and shiny. Make as many copies as you want, resize it, retexture it. Only the scripts are not modifiable.
The device comes in three versions (all included!)
* Desk Monitor
* Ceiling Monitor
* Wall Monitor
Here's how to set it up.
1) Right click and "Edit" the object
2) Set the URL to which you want the object directing people.
3) Click "Edit Linked" in the edit options in your viewer
3) Find the prim called "TV Screen (Place Images Here!)" It's the big flat one on the front.
4) Select the "Content" tab
5) Remove the sample images and drag your own images into this prim
6) Set the duration of the slideshow in the "Object Description" field. It is already set to 15 seconds, which is usually fine.
You're done! A few points:
* Clicking on screen will default to ZOOM
* Clicking anywhere on the rest of the monitor prompt to load your web page
* Slideshow script pre-loads the next image for less lag.
* You are limited to 100 textures, which should be plenty!
Some may ask "Why a URL and not a notecard?" Notecards suck. Having a website for your group is so much better than notecards. Notecards would become outdated if information changes and they cluter up your inventory anyway. Besides, notecard loaders are EVERYWHERE.
Another fine product from DaveDorm Dot Com.
