I did not use this as a stepping stone although it would be cute as one. I was looking for something while theming a room but what I wanted was one of those ceramic potholders you'd put under an appliance or dish. And it worked perfectly! The had a better LoD then I was expecting it too and that's always an added bonus. I had no distortion and I had, once I realized it was staying formed, pulled my cam back quite a bit.
If you're looking to put this as a walkway from a pool or beach path, it'll be great for outdoor landscaping. If you want to be a little different, it holds the coffeepot off the counter!
