Wow! Totally modifiable!
I was looking for a set of candles to place in my three empty fireplaces. I looked and looked, realizing that most fireplaces in SL already come with logs, etc., but the my gorgeous house had to be the exception to the rule--so there aren't really any fireplace candles out there. I found candle clusters that were very pretty, but they weren't modifiable. I had to make the candles fit a specific area, so they were out.
I was very surprised to not only find this set of candles were modifiable, but that they cost 1/2 to 2/3 less than the other candles I'd seen! At 50 lindens they sure were worth giving a try. So, I was able to:
Make them much bigger.
Edit each object to stretch the tray lengthwise, as well as remove the back half of the candles by un-linking them from the whole.
Change the tint of each row of candles, to fit the color scheme of each room.
They were then a perfect fit, and because they are also copy, I was able to use them in my 3 fireplaces without buying them 3 times! Not to mention that my modifications brought the prims down from 5 to 3, and sizing them up didn't make them primmier (is that a word? it should be!).
