Sidney's visitor imager, 9 segments Version 2
Hello, thank you for showing interest in my visitor imager
[New for 2013 - now just a single script for less lag!]
I thought it would be interesting to build up picture board of friends who come and visit me.
So what I have created is a multi-segment display that shows the "profile" image (if any) of anyone who comes near it.
The detected AV is asked if they agree to show their image. If not then image withheld is shown. I have done this to keep within the SL terms of service.
The last AV detected is shown in the large main segment, others are shown in the surrounding smaller segments.
Once all the segments are full then as new AVs are added, the oldest are removed.
Note that if there are more AVs in range than segments to display them then AVs may come and go quickly.
If there is no profile image available then a default image is used.
There are three versions available, four-images, nine-images and twenty-one-images.
If the owner touches the object it brings up a menu.
"Range" - allows the scanning range to be changed so you can limit the area covered.
"Rate" - allows the scanning rate to be changed so you can alter how quickly someone is detected/not detected.
"Reset" - Allows the script to be reset, just in case. (It also resets on rezzing)
Ask/no ask - enables/disables askin AV if their image can be displayed
The segments for the display float in the air. This is so you can place it against any backdrop you like, such as a wall or screen.
It is scripted so if scripts are disabled then it won't work.
The object cannot be modified but I don't think this is needed. Please contact me if this causes any problems.
If you have any questions, including acquiring a COPY version, please contact me
