The team at Sinplicity wanted to create a 2-seater boat that people could use for racing. We decided to keep it slimmed down and light so that it would be low lag and give best possible performance.
But we also wanted it to be a thing of beauty, a reproduction of a classic boat made of wood and chrome, packed with detail and realistic textures.

The Libelle is based on the Berlin III racing boat which was put together by a group of BMW engineers in 1950 using a 2.0 litre Veritas tuned engine.

*** BeavaV8 Script Engine***
The Libelle uses an all new, low-lag, script engine specifically designed for racing. It has adaptive steering which means you will get tight turns at speed with realistic drift. Sim crossing causes minimal problems and you get rocking motion when mored.
It's good, real good! But don't take our word for it, come give it a try at our inworld store.

*** Textures ***
The boat comes with a texture hud which enables you to change the seats, dashboard, steering wheel, badges and overall livery with a single click.
You get 10 racing liveries with this hud. Updated huds with additional liveries will be available at our inworld store for free.

*** Additional features ***
There are working dials for speed and RPM. Hud mode displays your selected gear and speed in Knots as hover text over the back of the boat or over the dashboard if you are in mouselook.
There is a separate pose menu which allows you to relax on the boat, sunbath, watch a race or celibate a win. You can even add your own poses.
So that you can display your Libelle, it comes with a dolly of the type used by boat museums. Just rez your boat over land and type 'dolly'.
Race mode gives the boat an ID which can be used by popular race systems.
Gluten Free.

The boat has a land impact of 30.

A free demo is available at our inworld shop (right next to the RSYC Power boat race course at St.Martin) and we really want you to come see it from the driver's seat.

I'm super picky and this boat drives really smooth and has great control options, plus some nice extras. The sounds are great too!

So so good!

Sure, it isn't overflowing with scripted crap and tons of animations...but if one really USES a boat to cruise, explore....and even race in circles across sim lines around the showy, ostentatious, gaudy powerboats and ugly mod mega yachts littering Blake, this works fantastically - and looks SO SO good doing it. There are many retro boats in SL but this is unique - cute, stylish, very nicely made and a different model from the usual retro boats in SL. It also comes with oodles of texturing options in a user-friendly HUD. So you like historically accurate? Google pics of the original...this is a faithful reproduction. The 1950 BMW engineers would approve I'm sure. It crosses sim lines in a fully acceptable way....a pet peeve of mine...nearly as well as my 225V, and does it well at all speeds. This is one of the 'risky' purchases I have made with no demo or inworld example to look over, and I am thrilled for having taken the risk! The pics on the mp really don't do this boat justice - it's beautiful! I almost hesitate to leave a great review because I love being the only one on Blake in one of these right now! But, the builder deserves this credit. Sure, as with anything in SL or RL, there are a couple of things I wish were on it, or different, but, overall - in a fantasy world with tons of motor boats and very few good ones...this is great!

Great Little Boat

Beautifully modelled with a huge texture choice. Scripting is robust and effective but steering is a bit frisky until you get used to it.

Its pure awesome.
Jumps from one sim to the next like lightning dipped in butter. Nicely maneuverable with out being twitchy. Quite a few paints and in the store in world a FREE hud that adds around 30 more.
Very useful and functional Mouse look expierence

only 1 weird negative I found, script time with the boat off and the rocking on is actually a bit higher. not knocking a star off for this as some pose balls on my sim still have greater script use.

yes I have been called a persnickety elitist snob, and this boat meets my snobby demands. Has put a huge smile on my face that persists even while I'm not driving it.

My new favorite boat!!

I absolutely love this boat! The attention to detail is fantastic, and so is the handling! Of all the boats I own, this is by far my new favorite!

It is fast, agile, and thanks to the low LI and awesome scripts it's also very low lag which is so important on those pesky sim crossings. Oh, and it's super sleek and sexy looking too!

Love the fact you can customized the look with a simple hud with so many skins to choose from.

Absolutely worth every linden!!
