Waste of Time and L's
When I had come across this, I had been so excited to buy it and get started. I have a huge issue when building, I can see seams when aligning two mesh pieces... like walls together. It drives me absolutely insane. So, I stumbled upon this tool and thought it would be perfect to use and would solve my issues. But I spend the 999L's for it, unpacked and read the READ ME NC which tells me to go and watch HOW TO videos. But, when you click to go to the page to watch those videos, those videos are no longer there. There are no other instructions as to how to use this tool. So, I've just wasted my time and L's on something that is worthless to me.
Amazing job!
It took me a while to get the hang of it - but I'm totally sold with the "gap" function, that stretches one prim to meet another. I'm completely anal when it comes to aligning prims, and now it's actually possible. :p
Also, the prims talking to you in Local makes me chuckle. :D
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
I have to say this has made life so much easier on my house building! Worth every cent!
Problems with it
I’m thinking it would help in building, but I’m having a lot of issues with it. Every time I Rez a box, I get a Debug/Script Error. And when trying to snap/ align two walls...one wall snaps in place, then when you snap in the second wall, the first wall..moves on its own and unsnaps....crazy things...seems I can’t use it. I left messages and nobody responds or gives any help. Very frustrating because I was looking forward to using it.
Pretty Cool
I'm not really one to spend like 1k on stuff for building such as huds but I did watch the video and I was impressed so I bought it and I tried it. I played with the hud and followed the instructions and YES, I did fix the belt so the prims were in my name *chuckles* and I had a blast. Although the little build wasn't perfect, like everything, practice does make perfect but I was pleased and tickled pink that I did it without any issues except I kept getting script errors but I think they were caused by me, I don't know but still, everything functioned fine and I HIGHLY recommend this tool to anyone that loves to build. :)
This will make building fun again
I've always been frustrated and put off from building in Second Life. Skidz has made it easier to build. A good example is by linking prims together; I've always had trouble doing this with uneven edges. I'm sure there are other things that this tool can do too. I recommend viewing his YouTube videos to learn how to use this.
