Thanks for your interest in my Crawling Snake!

The Snake LOVES avatars and will slither over to be around you! When there are several avatars nearby, it will circle between you trying to decide who to play with next! It is very inquisitive and when nobody is around it will explore every nook and cranny of your property.

This critter will go everywhere on your property remaining on the ground or the top of the water, but never repeat the same path! A chaotic algorithm makes it behave in complex ways without being random. From the dialog you can set it to any one of 16,777,216 colors. By default it will detect the edges of your property and stay inside them. It will not go outside the sim boundaries. You can change the Snake to one of 3 boundary modes: It will stay inside the parcel it is in, it will stay inside the owner's parcels (if you own more than one and they are adjacent), or it will roam everywhere in the sim that it finds friendly permissions set. It needs "Object Entry" to cross a parcel boundary and "Run Scripts". The Snake is smart enough to turn away from land that does not have these permissions. These land permissions can be set for all residents, or for a group if the owner has that group active at the time the Snake is rezzed. The Snake has four avatar modes, it will ignore, avoid, follow, or bump them. In bump mode it will playfully push avatars around! The Snake is normally a phantom object and passes through obstacles in its path. However, it has an "object avoid" mode where it attempts to detect objects in its path and turn away. The combination of a sculpted 3D prim, and complex behavior makes this Snake incredibly interesting for only 2 prims!

Visit the Wings-n-Things Store, Panthalassa (138, 125, 54) for more autonomous creatures that exhibit complex behavior.
