It's Snowing Outside!

This is a customizable backdrop to any flat windows you have up to 10x10 meters. sculpted to be 0.0025 meters thick and invisible from the outside. The texture automatically scales when you change the prim size using a low lag script. There are 4 layers to the prim that scale size and speed to give a realistic impression of depth.

You can change the flake scale by putting a different value in the objects description. 100=100% default size.

This is the Copy/Mod version, check out my shop for the 5 Pack if you only need a few.

This is a very nice, if simple, product.

What you get is: One prim. It is transparent on every side except one. So make sure you have transparency view enabled before you take this from your inventory. (It's in a box at first though.) Then look in all directions, because it might be facing another direction. I also found it easier to stand outside the house and carefully guide the prim toward the window.

Make the snowy side face the inside of your window. The prim itself can be outside the house. Then turn transparency view off, and what you see is snow gently falling "outside" your windows.

The texture is nice, it's gently falling snowflakes. There are two minor quibbles for possible consideration. One, the prim should have been made phantom. Then if it's placed too far outside the window, as might be necessary for tricky placement, no one will run into an invisible prim. It's a bit of a pain having to make the prim phantom for every window. (Yes, I could copy/drag it after making it phantom once. But not when windows are far apart.)

The other quibble might be, to make other prims part of the same pack. This way, the snow would not fall at exactly the same rate of speed, and same appearance ,in every single window. It would be more realistic. Some prims could have snow that's more sparse, or slower or something. Just an idea.

Overall it's a good product and does what it is supposed to do. Just so you know, though, it's just a flat prim, you supply your own window. But the effect is very nice.
