Solar Telescope

The only really safe way to observe the sun with an optical instrument, is by image projection onto a screen. As a telescope model, the Solar Refractor demonstrates how this configuration works. The bonus here though, is that by touching the screen, you will not see a stored jpeg, but the days live image as streamed down to Earth by the SOHO (Solar & Heliospheric Observatory)spacecraft.

You will need media options enabled for your sim in order for this to work, so to be sure, this item is really only for land owners.
