A high quality, rideable, modifiable, GTFO enabled bicycle.
I've always found bicycles in SL to be clunky and hard to modify. Hopefully this will change that. Like with all Sombre vehicles it is made with modification in mind - You can link anything you like to this bicycle.
There are 4 settings that can be changed to fit the bicycle to your avatar size, though extra small / tall avatars may struggle! (lean animation, sit position, saddle height, handlebar height)
- 10 preset colours, and PSD/XCF texture download included
- 4 speed modes (Standard, Electric, Racer, Slow)
- Get The Freight Out (GTFO) enabled
- Comes with 10+ accessories
- Includes helmet
- Includes optional electric front wheel
- Animated
If you would like to test one out to see how it handles, please use the link below. In-world touch the bike terminal to spawn a bike.
See item in Second Life- Handmade mesh
- Get The Freight Out Enabled
- Modification Friendly
- Lots of preset customisation options
- Easy to handle
Currently one of the best bicycles-as-a-vehicle in SL
I've owned a lot of bicycles in my 19 years in SL, including both ones worn as attachments and rezzable vehicles. I prefer the latter, but cumulative changes in server-side handling of physics collisions and script operations has left the majority of the ones I own (especially older mesh bikes) either partially broken or fully unrideable.
I've been on the lookout for newer bikes, and came across this in-world; the price was affordable, so I thought I'd give it a chance. I am very impressed with the addon system, which is very straightforward and easy to use, and the versatility is something I wasn't expecting, with options from drop-bar racer to city bike with fenders and a cargo rack with panniers. The various speeds are also nice; the ebike option works well for GTFO, "slow" is good for a leisurely cruise around Bay City, and "standard" is good for general mainland road exploration. Highly recommended if you're looking for a bike.
It s a really cool bike
I did finally buy it. I saw it long time, and this time i bought it.
The big plus is that its mod, and really mod. It s a lot of accessories and can personallize it a lot.
The easy way to adjust it to the avatar too is really nicely done
Anyway it is somethint that will need to be fixed i think (that s why i give not 5 stars). It dont lean in the curves.
Anyway it s really a cool bike
Good Stuff as always
Again Sombre made a well built vehicle, this time a bicycle. You can mod it in many ways, easy, even with own stuff. I myself added blue flashers for my firefighting sqas and it worked within a minute. i am totally happy with this bike and it is worth every linden. I would give 6 stars if possible
it is nice but..
The sound of the bicycle is almost inaudible and cannot be modified through the menu, and once you stop pedaling, it doesn't stop gradually. It will continue at the same speed for a long time, then suddenly stop (even if you go uphill or downhill). And final thing, it doesn't put a foot on the ground when you stop. It's in the small things where perfection is. Nice product anyway, like all sombre products.
This is everything you could ask for in one package
I've got a few bikes and a casual mainland ride made me look for something more. Being a GTFOer this one caught my attention and then I tried out the ones they had as rent-a-bikes (you're not paying for it, it's just a rezzer set up to look like one) but I didn't really fall for this bike until I opened it, so many options! You can have your road bike, your touring bike, your mountain bike and it's all in one package. I looked at a few others before purchase but this was by far the best over all.
