HUD broken, no customer service, but problem solved
I bought this item in mid January. It is, in most respects, a very good product: it looks good, and is well-textured. However, the texture HUD was broken: it simply doesn't work. I tried unpacking the item again, and a redelivery, and it still doesn't work.
So, I sent a notecard to the creator asking if I might have a new one that functions. That was a little less than a month and a half ago, and I've had no response.
Tonight, just as I was about to write a slightly less polite follow-up notecard, I had the idea of trying the HUD that comes with the demo on the full-price product and . . . it works! So, if you buy this, and find (as I did) that the HUD it comes with is useless, the answer is to get the demo and use the HUD that comes with that instead.
I hesitated before deciding to write this review, because I really don't like to be negative. And there is always the possibility that RL has prevented, for some reason, the creator from responding. But at the least it seemed to me important to 1) alert possible purchasers to the problem with the HUD, and 2) direct them to a solution. I'd have given this 5 stars were it not for the HUD issue, and the lack of a response from the creator. It's still, however, a good looking hat.
