Cup-hilt rapiers and swords stand out for their cup-shaped guard, which offers superior protection to the hand during combat. This design is especially visible in models like the Functional Cup Sword and the 16th Century Spanish Cup Sword. This is a war sword loved by Iberian cavalry and heavy Infantry.

The sword has wider and thinner double edge Blade thank a rapier and made for cutting, smashing and stabbing without to go through the body.

I added a left hand dagger to it because most soldiers had those as a back up weapon with them. But mostly it was used as a pair with cavalry Targa, Adarga or small Rodela shields. Heavy infantry used them with big Rodela or Steel covered Pavise shields.
