WHAT'S NEW: The “Carnivale Amusements” series of attractions have been re-thought, re-designed, and re-scripted. All rides have had their scripts updated to the new “SL mono-scripting” style of code, allowing for far less lag, in some cases the scripts have been 100% replaced with newer, smarter, and faster scripts.

Many rides have also had components rebuilt with sculpted prims, replacing many clunky over-primmed components, adding lower prims, and more detail, with a fresh new look. In 2007, when Carnivale started, sculpted prims just didn't exist, and it took years for sculptors to come up with the level of quality that are now seen in these attractions. Some attractions have had as many as 100 prims replaced with these newer sculpted prim-sets.

Re-thinking the Carnivale. Some of the older rides, the first ones created in the series were also rebuilt from scratch. To protect the series, and to comply with Secondlife's strict copyright laws, some of the rides have been re-named with 100% original names. These creations are “inspired” by their real life counterparts.

HISTORY: “Carnivale Amusements” was originally founded by Secondlife resident Atom Burma in 2007, after he was hired to build a fairly extensive amusement park, and discovered that there really was not a great selection of rides, and most were very expensive. His original vision was to offer great quality attractions and amusement park wares, for sale as well as for rent on a short term rental basis, much like companies do in real life. Atom Burma's Carnivale existed for three years in Secondlife, eventually growing to claim its own sim, and had traffic of over 20,000 people at its peak. Some of the builds have been featured on the main Secondlife.com webpage, as well as in the Linden Showcase, and countless blogs and websites about Secondlife.

The company has had many members, including myself, who has been a part of Carnivale for about a year, as well as scripter extraordinaire Kheph777 Enoch, who came on board in 2009. The vocal talents of Roxxy Rhode were used in the massive attraction “Welcome to Wonderland”, as well as the fantastic sculpts of Kanic Huldschinsky.

In 2010, after months of working alongside with the crew, Carnivale Amusements was dismantled and the reigns were handed over to myself.
