This is a billboard designed to either show a single ad, or up to 72 ads in a sequence.
If the number is greater than 1, there is a fading effect in between each ad (ad fades to black, then fades into the next ad), and the interval can be changed from the touch-menu. Times go from 5 seconds to 8 minutes.
This can also easily be integrated into your existing, static, non scripted billboards. Just rez the 13 prim example, and cut-out everything but the display - it only needs 1 prim!
Each individual ad also acts as a notecard or landmark giver upon touching it. It's very easy to set up (based on item names - no notecard editing!)
Textures never get blurry and un-load - each upcoming texture is preloaded!
If you'd like to see an in-world demo, IM Flurry Parx
I threw some images and landmarks/notecards in as an example.
README:
:::::Setup:::::
1. Rez the billboard on script-enabled land
2. Right-click and choose "edit"
3. In the "contents" tab, drag and drop the textures for the ads. Make sure they each have short, unique names like "Businessname Ad".
Contents are sorted from A-Z, so you may wish to add numbers before the ads if there is a required order ("1. Businessname Ad","2. Anothername Teaser")
4. If you wish for the ads to give away landmarks or notecards, drop those in as well.
**They MUST be named as such:** " "
For example, if the ad was named "1. Businessname Ad",
then you could name the landmark "1. Businessname Ad LM " or "1. Businessname Ad Landmark"
and the notecard "1. Businessname Ad Notecard".
It doesn't matter if you use "Landmark" or "LM" or even "fart", it just must include the name of the Ad beforehand.
5. Refresh the billboard using the touch-menu described below:
:::::Touch Menu:::::
Clicking the billboard gives the following options:
Touch : Simulate touching the billboard as if you WEREN'T the owner. Use this to test out landmark and notecard deliveries.
Refresh : Reloads the inventory.
Interval... : Changes the amount of time a single ad will be shown for.
To add or remove ads, simply add or remove them from the billboards contents.
