This is a landing pad inside a perspex glass dome. The dome slowly rolls back (with sound effects) to allow for craft to land and take off. There's a circle of landing lights around the edge of the pad and you can see the control room underneath through the glass panels around the base of the pad. Access to the lower control room is by a dedicated teleport on the pad and in the room below. There's a vent in the lower control room that ducts any fumes through the central column. You may see the occasional wisp of white fumes as it does so.

The dome can open and close at a touch and can be locked open or shut by the owner. The dome makes a deep, airlock-type sound as it rotates over.

There's an access tube on the side that leads to a ramp up to the pad. The working door can be capped off or connected to other Exosphere modules to extend your starbase functionality.

And yes, this really is only 16 prims!

This module comes with free bulkhead end caps so you can make this into a separate stand-alone module, or you can join it to others to form a larger base. All the Exosphere starbase modules can easily be joined together by simply touching their bulkhead door frames. They'll move themselves into place and align themselves automatically.

I turned this into a nightclub that I call 104Wd. It's amazing, especially when I peel back the roof. The galaxy rushes in along with cold space and if you have a great space dome, the effect can be mind-blowing (or is it the weed I'm smoking?) But I digress - This creator makes amazing space environments. In your home, you can go all over the universe if you get the holodeck; fight aliens, build robots, be abducted, fight fires...thank you so much for enriching my SL.

Works well and can be used for more than shuttle landings, too. Current plans for one include a botanical garden on the "deck" and a crystal cavern in the large space below.

I'm very happy with these products from this friendly maker who was ready to help me at once with a couple of questions and even wishes I had in mind. Prompt, friendly service indeed! :)

Good looks and textures, nice details, low prim, affordable price and modular design are the key factors that make these products my favourites for my sci-fi needs!

As I have bought many of the modules though have so many more to buy yet but THIS was the first item I ever bought from exosphere; I have decided to write my review here.

From what I have seen so far, there is no other like it. Low prims, total customization of a space station that *YOU* want to build. Sure, there are other space station sellers but either they are higher prims, look cheap or simply don't stack up in terms of ability to 'make it your own'. Plus, its lit well! Can the others out there give you that?

If anyone that reads this want to visit my station first hand to see the modules (though not all as I ran outta prims XD), simply give Me, marandatenkaze a message in second life and I'll be happy to give a taste of what you yourself can be building today!

Excellent Module!

I had purchased a module with a dome from another maker only to discover that it wouldn't fit what i considered a relatively small shuttle. Not only does this fit that, it fits my medium freight shuttle which I don't think would have fit in the other maker's larger landing dome. It's fewer prims and looks better IMO. If you need a pressurized landing area for a space station, this is the one to get.
