A must have accessory for any starship navigation deck.

An orrery is a mechanical device that illustrates the relative positions and motions of the planets and moons in the Solar System in a heliocentric model. Though the Greeks had working planetaria, the first orrery that was a planetarium of the modern era was produced in 1704, and one was presented to the Earl of Orrery — whence came the name. They are typically driven by a clockwork mechanism with a globe representing the Sun at the center, and with a planet at the end of each of the arms.

This orrery supports a central star or black hole with up to 10 configurable planets. Each planet supports up to 5 configurable moons. Configurations may be saved and loaded again at a later date.
The owner may set access controls to allow other players to activate the orrery for configurable periods of time.
Orbit eccentricity, planetary tilt, albedo, size and ring configuration are individually configured for each planet and moon. Land marks may be attached to any satellite and it will act as a teleporter.
The scale of the entire system can be dynamically adjusted to fit in most any area.
An auxiliary console provides a close inspection of any body in the system.
