This is not meant to be an accurate representation of an actual steam beam engine but is intended to be pleasing to the engine nuts in SL.
It is rezzed using the Rez-Faux system as there are several parts that cannot be linked in the ordinary way so by using Rez-Faux, rezzing can be accomplished quickly and easily. (Full Rez-Faux instructions are included).
Under the boiler is a small fire turning the water from the tank to steam which belches out with loud hissing sounds. This drives the beam over the top of the engine in a rhyhmic up and down, clunking and clattering motion resulting in the pump at the other end pulling water from underground. Well that's the theory anyway.
Stands 2.5m tall, 3.8m wide and 1.3m deep (Approx) and is made up of 26 prims many being specially sculpted for this project.
Hope you enjoy it,

- Fun little build composing of a wildly inaccurate steam engine
- Historically inaccurate but a fair representation
- Specially made sounds, scripts, sculpties & textures
- Meant to be fun and not taken too seriously
- Hope you enjoy it
