» «Steampunk Atmospheric Analyzer» «

A functional, fully scripted weather and performance instrument for Second Life.

The Steampunk Atmospheric Analyzer combines vintage style with real environmental data — designed for airships, laboratories, observatories, and any build that celebrates discovery and design.

Crafted in polished copper and brass, this detailed device measures and displays the sun’s position, regional wind, and simulator performance in real time, creating a living, responsive element for your environment.

☀Features

Dynamic Sun Dial: Displays seven unique sun stages — Night, Pre-Dawn, Sunrise, Morning, Midday, Afternoon, and Sunset — updating automatically as the SL day progresses. The circular face changes with stages of the sun.

Wind Sensor: Rotating vane shows real wind direction and speed (m/s, km/h, knots) with hover text that changes color based on intensity.

Lag Meter Screen: Shows region Time Dilation, FPS, and Avatar count for quick performance checks.

Bonus Debug Meter: Included prim that visualizes the current sun stage and height for educational use or display.

❤Creator’s Note

This Analyzer was inspired by vintage weather instruments and scientific curiosity.
It’s meant to bring motion, atmosphere, and realism to your environment — whether that’s a skyport, laboratory, or steampunk workshop.
