The ottoman is part of Timeless Decor's American Craftsman series. It contains 4 sit poses so that it can be used as an extra seat for visitors, but is sized so that you can use it to put your feet up when you are sitting in the coordinated leather armchair or loveseat. The owner can change the leather color to either brown or black.
This piece of furniture is based on a design by Gustav Stickley, one of the foremost furniture designers of the American craftsman movement. Craftsman style furniture was extremely popular during the late 19th and early 20th century in the United States. This style of furniture is often popularly referred to as “Mission Style,” and is an American extension of the British Arts and Crafts movement from the same time period. Craftsman furniture is simple in design, high quality in construction, and uses natural materials like hardwoods and leathers. Unadorned, plain surfaces are sometimes enhanced by stains and dyes, but these are never allowed to obscure the grain of the wood or pattern of the leather.
