It is a box for storing various items in, and can be placed on your own land (each storage box counts only 1 prim no matter what its content is), or can be kept in your inventory.
Only the owner can access to the content of the storage box.
The aim of the storage box is to free your inventory from the objects you rarely use.
For this end, the storage box can be filled with up to 22 objects: each object can be a single item or it can group a certain kind of items, for example textures, gestures, animations, scripts, forniture, clothes … (a box for storing objects is the only way to store textures, gestures, animations, scripts). You can delete from your inventory the stored stuff and make it smaller and less disorganized, plus with a storage box you can find your items easier ....
A text updater script is sold with: you can use it to label the objects you store inside the storage box.
You also can copy your storage box and rename the different copies you've created with the descriptions of the objects they contain so you can record a large number of items.
No-copy objects can also be stored, but remember, when you take them back to your inventory they will obviously be no longer present in the storage box.

On the owner’s touch, the storage box will show you a menu with a list of buttons each one labelled with the name of the object stored in the box (only the first 10 characters of the item's name are showed in a button).
If you click on a button, a folder with the connected item will be sent to your inventory.

Inside the storage box there is a dummy box (empty) just to avoid a bug happening when the storage box content is zero; it can be deleted when you start filling the box with your stuff.
