Stormy Skies (EEP)
Dramatic storm clouds, beautiful sunsets, backdrops for your Second Life photography or roleplaying. Enhance your Second Life experience and give your favourite locations a whole new look.
Your Second Life sky will look the same as the sample photos and the video linked at the bottom of this page.
These cloud texture files were sampled from the real life skies over Adelaide in Australia via photographs that I took with some graphic amendment. Getting a collage of cloud photos to make a good sky texture involves a lot of work, especially as the file has to be seamless when tiled, and look reasonable in very low resolution in the Second Life sky. There is considerable R&D involved. Along with these textures, I have created a range of custom sky files designed to either be as realistic as possible, or to show some otherworldly fantasy and flair. The Malestrom skies have a bit of an ink wash feel. Consider them a starting point and feel free to modify the sky files any way you like.
These skies may be used by Parcel and Region Owners.
This pack contains:
36 Customised sky files designed to show stormy and turbulent skies in Second Life.
The sky files use the following custom cloud textures:
Malestrom_Storm_Clouds - clouds texture file
Partly_Cloudy - clouds texture file
Storm_Front_Clouds_EW - clouds texture file

Check out the video link to see a YouTube demo of these skies in use in Second Life.
