Menu driven Landing Spot Swiper
Can't be done more easy to set up than this. Chose between adding the script in your own item or just use the examples that are ready to use, only add your texture to it. No annoying blinking, siply just makes your avatar walk away little by little from the landing point.
What it does:
• Keeps landing spots clear by gently “swiping” avatars outward.
• Works with regular teleports (no official landing point required).
• Affects everyone in range (polite push; not a fling).
• Menu is owner/group operated (you choose in the menu).
• Options include: Visibility, Wipe Distance, Speed, Hover Text, Operator, Pause/Resume.
• Lightweight: scans nearby avatars at a small interval, then nudges them.
• If pushes are blocked on the parcel/region, use the Experience Teleporter version instead.
How to use:
Rez the object named “Landing Point Swiper” at the center of your landing area.
(Optional) Set the object’s Group to your land group if you want group operators.
Touch the object to open the menu (owner only by default).
Configure:
Visibility: Show/Hide the prim.
Distance: How far beyond the center to push (2–10 m).
Speed: Soft / Normal / Strong (controls push strength and scan rate).
Hover: Turn hover text On/Off (defaults On).
Operator: Owner-only or Group-operated (group members must wear the group tag).
Pause/Resume: Stop or start the swiper without deleting it.
Leave it running. Avatars who arrive inside the radius are nudged outward a short distance.
Tips:
• Place the swiper where people actually land (center of the “hot spot”).
• Start with Distance = 3–5 m and Speed = Normal.
• If your venue is very busy, increase Speed to Strong and Distance to 5–7 m.
• Keep the prim small or hidden for a clean look; hover text can be turned off.
• For testing during events, use Pause/Resume as needed.
Troubleshooting:
• “It’s not moving people”:
Some parcels/regions block pushes. Check About Land → Options → Pushes.
If blocked, use the “Gentle Teleporter (Experience)” version.
• “I can’t open the menu”:
Only the owner can operate by default. Set Operator → Group-operated and wear the object’s group tag.
• “People land just outside the radius”:
Increase ZONE_RADIUS (in script) or move the swiper closer to the landing point.
• “It feels too strong/too weak”:
Change Speed (Soft/Normal/Strong) and/or Distance (2–10 m).
