Note:
The system is designed to align with a standard square texture (e.g. 512x512 pixel). Other ratios may or may not be as an ideal result. Please try with the demo version first if you are unsure.

Simplest texture aligner in SL! Don't waste your time when you should be done by now.

FAQ:
I'm unable to change the rotation from the texture e.g. to 45 or 90 degree. Every time the rotation went back to 0.

ANS:
If you'd like to rotate the aligning texture, instead of changing the rotation on the texture, simply rotate the aligning prims. Rotate the prims at 45 or 90 degree, perform alignment as usual. Then rotate the prim back to the original position.

A little complex

I found it was easier to rotate the entire building than it was to figured out which face of the prim was going to have the texture applied. I thought i was going to be able to use this to texture entire buildings but it seems to work best for small projects. I don't understand why the prims have to be glowing yellow so brightly when selecting individual prim faces. I won't be able to use this product for texturing large buildings.

Planar mapping only, and glitchy, Real time-waster.

I should have known this would have all the same problems as the other scripts like this offered on SLMP. This ONLY works for Planar mapping. The first time I dropped the installer scripts into the prims, half of them didn't say they were ready. Since I was working on my own full sim, and everything else was running fine, I'm not writing this off as lag. The major issue is that Planar mapping is not listed as a requirement anywhere in any documentation. I don't want to use planar mapping, so that makes this junk useless to me. Add the fact that it is just plan dated, and doesn't also support Materials, and you've got a few more nails in the coffin. If it wasn't planar, I could copy the repeat and offset info and apply it to the normal and spec maps... EXCEPT that I'd have to convert all negative offsets to positive ones first, since those maps won't accept negative numbers.

Again... all in all... skip this junk. Even if -you- do want to use planar mapping, there are less expensive, less cludgy, less complicated options out there.

As a final caveat, if you do want to contact the creator to ask for support? You're directed to some webform. I demanded a refund... and I'll be shocked if I get any response at all. Again... skip it. Find someone who is actually a present, active contributor to the community to spend your L$ with.

Friend of mine had me get this, and I gotta say, I was better off doing it myself. Hours of work that I had already put in, went down the drain. The instructions are confusing, It turned all the mapping to planar which messed things up further, so what should have been a nice texturing job turned into more work for me to have to redo tomorrow. Sadly I had to choose a star to leave a review. I've been in SL since 2006, I'm hardly unexperienced with things. What it did do or attempted to do my daughter could have done better. Too bad I can't get a refund. I'll stick to manual alignment like before.

Hi, about this Texture aligner. I read the reviews before buying this and thought I would buy it since poor boys need to buy the lower priced items. Though there is the other cheaper one out there for 399 or so but I thought I would go one up on that one and decided on this one.

Anyway it did work on the top surface of my outside sidewalks of my place here in SL. Avatar Karaoke to be exact. So hesitate to visit my lounge please. I digress. Back to the review. It did do the top surface of the walkway or foundation. But did miss one prim for some reason. But they have this weird system where you place cones on the corners of these prims to accomplish all of this. Maybe the creator of this script can accomplish it in some tricky way I have no clue. And the reason I have no clue is I wrote the person and didn't get a response. So apparently he or she doesn't pay attention to SL anymore and doesn't care about the product reviews.

Also I could not change the textures on the walls of my place. It had no effect on them when I placed the script in those prims. So I am very disappointed in this script. And how you have to place these cones around. I have a couple scripts on my other account and that script you use a root prim to make the changes. I should see if I can find those to know which ones I bought. I know I had two. All I know is I didn't have this one with the odd cones situation. So I basically feel I got a bad product. If it works perfectly it is beyond me how to accomplish it.

Also the prim that you add your texture to always gets shrunk down to a sliver of a prim after I press align. Then I have to stretch it back out again. Why it reshapes itself to merely a sliver of a prim after selecting align is beyond me also. Though it didn't do that everytime. Very odd and not appropriate in anyway to have your product do to a person. Crazy really. I might even buy the cheap 399 Beta/Alpha script on here. It might even do better than this one. Thumbs down

Ignore the stupid review about rotation.. This works fine, always has..If you get on a bike for the first time and fall off it's probaly not a faulty bike.

I tried the other systems .. this is the only reliable one I've found and i use it most days in my work..

((Psst.. make it trans ..I had to buy it twice for my alts ))

Does exactly what it say works fine, the rotation issue is explained in the video and you can adjust it easily.
