Surreal Skybox

This is a old build project - now avaialbe for free.

This amazing looking skybox Is the perfect structure for commercial use, but is also very well suited for group/role play activities and can even be used as a residential skybox.

The skybox has 2 large floors with lots of space. The ground floor has great looking pilars with lighting in between them and plenty of large walls to place many vendors. The first floor is a large open area without pilars and on the first floor is the enterance/exit.

On both floors you will see many realistic special effects! It has great looking 3D fog rolling over the ground and moving fog under all the lighting and very fine dust particles floating in the air. Combined with the very cool 7 minutes (seamless) long special effect environmental sound loop this skybox has a really awesome feeling/atmosphere.

The highest quality textures have been used for this building. The textures and the structure itself are totaly seamless, so no over lapping (flickering) prims.

The 2 floors are connected with wide sculpted stairs and a very robust staircase. Even on the stairs you see the thin mist rolling down!

This skybox is more then just a building, its a feeling made with prims! I the creator have received many nice compliments while i was creating this skybox. Some people said they had the feeling if they were in in a level of the Tomb Raider games, others said it had a spooky alien feeling and others had the feeling they were in a Half-Life building. Basicly everyone has their own feeling when they are inside this skybox, but one thing is for sure, it produces a great atmosphere and it is a provoker of feelings!

The enterance/exit door is a sliding door that can be set to open automaticly and on touch. The door can also be set to group acces only or you can create your own special acces list with a notecard.

Even though this skybox has many cool details and a large amount of special effects, it is low on prims. And you can even decide to remove some of the effects to trim down the prim total even more. Without any special effects this skybox still looks awesome.

The skybox and the rezzer has copy permission and all the effects in the skybox are seperately linked so they can be moved/removed and multiplied as you see fit.

Seperately boxed are the environment sound loop, extra dust particle emitters and several textured prims with copy/modify permissions just in case you want to place an extra inner wall(s) or extra pilars.

The sample pictures here are ordered from daytime environment settings, evening and the last pics are taken with night settings. Every time of day the special effects has a different look as you can see.

Setup: The setup is very easy. The whole skybox with most of the special effects have been placed inside a rezzer so you only have to place the rezzer in the center of your parcel and rez the skybox. After that you can place the dust emitter (3 prims) and the sound effects (1 prim) on the roof of the skybox in the center.
