The Swamp Boat (aka Air Boat, Everglades Boat) is a flat-bottomed boat with a typically rectangular hull. The engine and propeller are high up above the water, designed more like an airplane than a boat. Steering is handled by the use of airplane rudders, directing the airflow behind the propeller. This means that there is nothing below the bottom of the boat - with a wide flat bottom, the boat sits very high in the water and does not require a lot of depth. Indeed, the design is specifically to allow the boat to pass through very shallow water, and even brief jaunts over dry land. The skipper of the boat sits in a high seat just infront of the motor, where they get a good view of the waters all around, and passengers sit up front on a bench.
The Swamp Boat is controlled with the standard SL movement controls: Your Forward and Back keys control the direction of the engine, forward or reverse, while the Left and Right keys control the rudders, allowing you to turn left and right. You can also use the Up and Down keys, for a fast gear; Up lets you go forward very fast, and Down puts you in a fast reverse.
The Swamp Boat can be driven in both normal view and "mouselook", either way the controls are the same. The Swamp Boat (Personal) allows its owner, and others in the same group to be the skipper; anyone can ride as a passenger. (Seats 3, one skipper and two passengers.)
There is a menu of options which can be accessed by the owner / skipper simply by clicking the propeller.
The swampboat is mod/copy (scripts are copy only) so you can customize it, rez as many as you want, and keep a backup as well. Please note that the Swamp Boat works in Linden/World water.
