:T&C:'s sixth critter, an extinct subspecies of lion that was around during the ice age. This lion had no mane that's known of, and an almost perfectly preserved specimen of this species was found not too long ago!

The pack has 2 different tail types and head types, along with a masculine and feminine skin. This avatar uses unrigged mesh parts to ensure you can resize as you like for the body you wish to use! Also included, 3 different body shapes, masculine, feminine and androgynous to get you started.

Included with this avatar is a cute plush cave lion container for the avatar parts, each being unique to the colour of the lion you purchase.

This avatar comes with a hud to control the eyes and jaw. if you have any issues with the avatar or modding, please contact me in world!

I recommend joining the :Tooth & Claw: avatars group for updates on new releases and preorders!

thanks for your consideration from the :T&C: team!

5 years later

Five years later and i still love this AV. The skins easily work with any BOM body and are nicely textured. the head still works and dresses up nice. Its a nice alternative to use as a base and 'Not look like Everyone Else.

So i got this model yesterday, and I love it! Im really new to SL so this was a great starter to just have fun with and learn how this game actually works ^^ The plush lion is adorable, The model is easy, simple, and glad i could add extra fluff parts i bought separately to it It doesnt break as much as another model i got which is nice. It almost fits some clothes i already had x3

But altogether, super fun, easy, and i enjoy that big kitty face <3

Nearly perfect

I am eternally grateful for finally finding a lion avatar on the marketplace that has a more masculine face. This is something I've been wanting to find for ages, as most of the big cat avatars I've encountered seemed to lend more towards kitten-like, feminine faces with short muzzles and small teeth. This avatar however has a proper muzzle, which I am pleased about. :D The textures are really good looking too.

The only thing I can really suggest is possibly offering a wider range of expressions on the face, even just simple brow adjustments would be nice. It's a great deal for the money though, I'm happy with my purchase!

Great Starter Furry Avatar!
full star full star full star full star empty star Posted May 01, 2017 by Ember Ember

(Crossposted review on the ":T&C: white cave lion mod kit " since I bought both! XD)

This avatar is perfect for new furries in SL who don't want to or don't know how to mod and just want something really nice looking fresh out of the box.

--- Pros ---
• All parts are mesh as opposed to sculpts.
• All parts are UNRIGGED so you may adjust if you edit your shape.
• Texture quality is absolutely GORGEOUS!
• Both the sclera and iris of the eyes are easy to recolor manually if so desired.

--- Cons ---
• Jaw needed a slight adjustment (when it opened it clipped through the cheek a bit).
• Ears are a linked part of the head object (but can be unlinked and detached if needed).
• Eyes are also part of the head object so they do not look around with the default SL avi eyes.
• The tail flexi prims do not seem to stick together (?) when they move even thought they do have the same settings in the "Flexible Path" options. It's as if the tail tuft is always too late in catching up to the base part of the tail. XD (This tail was the one I ended up replacing it with instead: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Fig-Lion-Tail-11-Tintable-Scripted-Action-HUD/671095)
• The included avatar shapes are not built with rigged hair in mind.
• The texture of the head is mirrored so if you want markings or scars on just one side of the head, you won't be able to achieve the look by re-texturing the head.

Screenshot of my modded Cave Lion: http://i.imgur.com/HEluq5t.png -- The shape I'm using in the image has been modded for rigged hair ("Hawk 2" and "Orion" from the store called Wasabi Pills.) I ended up buying the mod kit version as well (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/TC-white-cave-lion-mod-kit/11454216) because the meshes and textures of this avatar are so very gorgeous!
