To change de texture of the nails, just touch any nail and you will see a menu, where you can select the texture, chorme level or transparency you want. You dont't have to do this in both hands.

This Nails won't move or look like floating ever again, this has script that locks the hand, and the nails fits perfect
Before asking for help:
Change your avatar position, detach and attach the nails, move to a sim without lag, and allow scripts, relog SL, don't adjust the nails.
