As a creator in SL, getting people to read instructions for your products isn't easy.
The default SL notecard is far from ideal as you can't have different fonts... bold, resized or coloured text... visible images (only in-line)... and there are no bookmarks, so specific topics aren't easy to find - especially with large notecards.
As such, customers tend not to bother even opening your notecard instructions - even the short ones... meaning more support tickets for you when they don't know how to do something, which more often than not is already covered in the instructions! :)
So, if your product is a little more complicated and needs more comprehensive instructions you need either a website to host them or supply a big notecard, along with all the problems outlined above.
The TD Instruction Manual Kit lets you create nice looking instruction manuals for the products you make and sell in SL from images created outside SL in any standard image editing software.
You can create book-like instruction manuals as HUDs with the pages using different fonts, coloured, bold and large text, as well as include photos, diagrams and screenshots actually on the page.
Each instruction manual can have a cover page, unlimited content pages inside and an index page with up to 38 clickable links to jump to specific pages of the manual.
Using the side buttons your customers can open/close the manual, flip through it page by page, open the index page or minimize it off the screen while they continue learning to use your products.
Note: All the instruction manual pages are images so to use this kit, you will need image editing software on your computer and of course some ability to use it in order to create the pages...
Alternatively, if you have DTP software that will save pages as .PNG files (like MS Publisher), you can use it to make your manual designing a lot quicker and easier.
When the manual is open, it displays 2 pages - a left and a right page.

The supplied empty Instruction Manual HUD is full perm so you can put your own cover, content pages and index page in it then set the permissions to Copy/No Modify/No Transfer before giving it away with your products.
