ABOUT PAPA LEGBA:
Papa Legba is a traditional mythological figure who represents the Haitian or Caribbean Voodoo god. Voodoo gods were spiritual figures of power in 1800s New Orleans. Papa Legba is known as the Gatekeeper between our plane of existence and the spirit world. He is also believed to speak all human languages. Voodoo was bolstered by followers fleeing Haiti after the 1791 revolt, when freed people of color moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. They made Voodoo an important part of their culture in the region. Today, Voodoo remains in practice to serve others and influence life events in connection with ancestors and spirits.
SUIT:
The suit is ONE piece for jacket, shirt and pants, and comes in many sizes; Adin, Belleza Jake, Edus, Fitmesh Classic, Gamit, Mado, Onupup, Signature Gianni, Slink Male, and five standard sizes. This set will most likely fit on other mesh bodies not specified as well (including the "Roth" mesh body).
NOTE: As with all mesh models, in may happen that a size made for another body fits your unique shape best. Therefore, please try on ALL the sizes for best fit. You will ideally need to use the BOM/Classic alpha *or* your body's alpha HUD to ensure that nothing sticks out.
ACCESSORIES:
The hat, gloves, necklace and shoes are unrigged and will fit ANY regular-sized human, mesh or classic. You may need to raise, lower, resize or re-position these pieces. The shoes work best with black socks and/or alpha HUD or alpha layer. The gloves are NOT bento but work well for holding the staff.
HAIR:
The rigged mesh hair is to achieve the look in the picture. It also works well with the hat. You will need to wear it with the BOM black hair base included, or another black or very dark hair base.
STAFF:
This stunning handmade voodoo staff includes bento animations, which work best with bento hands (or gloves enclosed). It will keep your arm up, even when used in conjunction with most Animation Overriders (AOs). It is *unrigged* mesh, and may need to be re-positioned, tilted, etc for best fit on your own arm. Occasionally some other animations may conflict. If the arm hold stops working, simply detach and re-attach staff, or try a different AO.
MAKEUP:
The face tattoo is BOM and works with any BOM or classic avatar head and skin tone. Please ensure you are wearing a classic or BOM head. Most mesh heads currently come with a BOM update. There are also some amazing BOM male heads for nearly free on the Marketplace. You will probably need to enable BOM with the head's HUD.
IN THE PICTURE:
The avatar shown in my Ad is the "Derrick" avatar that comes as part of everyone's inventory. I thought he went well with the costume, as Papa Legba is traditionally an African-American male. However the face tattoo can go with any skin shade.
IF YOU LIKE THE PICTURE: TO FIND DERRICK:
Go to Avatar (top left) of viewer, - Choose an Avatar - Classic tab, and he is the dark-skinned man with the striped shirt. Click him and this will put the full avatar on you, then you can wear the outfit.
MAKE IT YOURS:
All pieces are optional. The suit by itself makes a great formal or roleplay suit. Wear your own accessories, or mix and match in any way you like, and have fun!

Worth the money--works perfectly with classic avatar
As one of the two or three people in SL who still don't have mesh avatars, I was a little doubtful about this outfit, but I needn't have worried: the fitmesh version fit me perfectly with no adjustment needed.
The one minor adjustment I did need was to the hat, because I used my own hair and the hat was a little too small for it, but one click on the resizing menu and that problem was fixed.
Besides my hair, I also used my own cowboy boots, and everything fit together nicely. I especially like the fact that the coat, pants, and vest are all one unit, making things a lot simpler. The makeup looks great and could even serve as a guide if you wear a similar costume in RL.
