This is an illustration for Selkies' Skins: Temple and Skinquest, chapter 11, the second book in Teresa Garcia's Selkies' Skins novel series. Kirsty is currently depicted in a selkie half-form, currently induced by a magical paste as she undergoes her trials to earn a skin of her own and become considered a true selkie among the sea folk, and thus gaining a voice among one half of her people. She is in the maze on her way to the temple. After her trials are finished she will be both full selkie and fully initiated into the priestesshood if she survives.
I enjoyed working with this style and will be playing more with it later. I am also available for commission and to work in other styles.
