The detector scans every 5 seconds to reduce lag.
The detector is reset at each rez or by the menu.
You can drag your favorite picture/logo/texture to any side from inventory.
Modify so you can change the name, the description, textures and resize it using the Edit, Stretch tool.
If Land tool -> Options has Run Scripts set to Group Only, the greeter must be set to the land group to operate.
These notes are included.
Touch for a menu for Manager tools, Visitor Tools and Help.
Menu chat is whispered to 10 meters, so stand close when operating the menu..
Greeting message and range come from the greeterdata notecard in contents that you can change.
Works on avatar-owned land or group-owned land. Deed to the land group to only greet within the land boundaries.
Transfer so you can deed it to land if necessary and still take it back to become the owner again.
The detector is reset at each rez or by the menu.
You can set the sensor range to 96 meters or less in the notecard.
Setting the range in the notecard to zero leads to an auto-range based on land size:
range=24
if (ParcelArea > 1024) range=32
if (ParcelArea > 2048) range=56
if (ParcelArea > 4096) range=96
It can greet visitors based on simple range (open scan) or land boundaries (land scan).
You can turn the unit on or off.
Visitors can be greeted privately using IM, or publicly using ranges of 10, 20 or 100 meters. For chat, an auto setting will choose for you.
You can list and reset the visitors it has greeted.
You can be notified when someone has been greeted.
You can assign multiple managers that can operate it and receive notifications when someone has been detected.
IM notifications to the managers include the name, date, time and SLURL of every visitor. Use the SLURL to TP there easily.
Add someone to the manager notification list using the "add" manager operation.
You can add/remove anyone to the manager list. Use the included bonus key-finder device to get the key of any avatar that picks it.
Also look for the avatar key (UUID) in their profile - just copy that to use after the 'add' or 'remove" chat command.
You can turn on/off the visitor IM notification feature at any time.
The key-finder object and these notes are in the folder and in the contents of the object.
