The TNC Lambda Tops Collection

The Top itself forms an upside-down V when worn. Some call this "Camel Tops" (after the "Camel Toe" which also refers to a certain type of tight jean pants worn at times.
However, the upside-down V symbol is known from the ancient world (see below) and thus I have chosen to call it the "Lambda Top".

A BIT OF HISTORY
THE NAME "LAMBDA" - From WikiPedia
That inverted "V" symbol is the Greek letter "L". The Spartans used the red Greek capital letter lambda (?) displayed on their shields as an identification as the people of Lacedaemonia , which in historical times, was the proper name of the Spartan state as used by Thucydides in his histories. The citizen of Lacedaemonia was called Lacedaemon.
Early Greek shields had various patterns on them, but then began to adopt the letter of their city. There is a story of an action in Corinth in which some passing Spartans who were unarmed picked up some shields of warriors from Sikyon which had an S on them to oppose a sally by Corinthians. The latter, being Dorians like the Spartans, thinking them mere Achaeans, ran right through them, rather than thinking twice if they had known who they were picking on.
