Stressing Form
The opening exhibition of TRIMMER BAY GALLERIES by Greg Malcolm, in Gallery 1, is a fascinating and varied selection of Greg's emotionally charged figurative paintings that take us to tense and painful places in an extraordinarily beautiful way. Greg's varied technique embraces texturally divine, thick, finger-crafted paint, delicate washes, bold text, gentle lines and aggressive strokes, solid form and the dripping, melted effusion of the body's angst and beauty, while sustaining an unmissable style. His work can't do other than tantalise you, touch you deeply and leave you feeling moved; better for having seen it.
