The Avatar Pager can be customized with the photo or texture of your choice. Simply drag texture/photo from Inventory onto the Avatar Pager surface, or drag to Contents in Edit Mode. It is MOD/COPY, so resize it or alter it a bit if you like.
Instructions are included, in case you need them.
WHAT IT DOES

* The Avatar touching the pager sees color change, float text, and particles indicating that you've been paged.
* YOU get an IM with the full name of the Avatar, the date and time, AND a teleport link to their location, should you wish to help them immediately:

** Pager Location = Pandora 8.
** Teleport: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Pandora 8/120/93/26
* Messages find you anywhere in Second Life when you are in-world. It also can send offline IMs to your email IF you have that option turned on in your SL settings.

NO, it does not let the person type you a message. That's what IMs are for! It's a PAGER, not a texter.
Please note the FIRST time you touch the device, there may be a slight delay while a security routine runs to check the owner's (your) information and online status against the LL servers. After that it will operate at normal (fast) speed.
You cannot page yourself (why would you?), but you can easily test the Avatar Pager with the help of a friend, stranger, or (gasp) an Alt.
