How It Works
When the object is rezzed, the script initializes its starting position and scale. Each touch cycles the tape through a sequence of real-world-proportion measurements. A whisper notification informs you of the measurement mode you're viewing, while textures update to visually match the measurement (such as “Average Avatar Height,” “Door Height,” “First Floor Ceiling,” and more). A tape-pull sound effect adds realism and makes it feel like you're using a real measuring tool within SL.

The system includes 7 built-in measurement presets:

Measuring Tape (default) – 1 meter display for general measuring references.

Average Avatar Height – Approx. 2.1m for quick avatar comparison.

Door Size Height – Standard 2.8m SL door height.

First Floor Ceiling Height – 3.8m ceiling for residential builds.

Hallway Width – 3m width scale for architectural planning.

Room Size – 10m x 10m room reference for layout and structure planning.

Second Floor Ceiling Height – 7.6m total height reference for multi-floor builds.
