Hanukkah is the celebration of a miracle of light. Indeed it is called the “Festival Of Lights”. And at the very heart of this holiday is the miracle of candles burning in the rededicated Temple for 8 days instead of 1 day. It is in essence a holiday where we celebrate the power of light over darkness.
Hanukkah is 8 days. On each night we light a candle on the Hanukkah Menorah - Hanukkiah (from the Hebrew).
The first night of Hanukkah we light one candle, the second night two candles, the third night - three candles and so on until the eighth night when we light all 8.
The candle in the middle is known as the "Shamash" or "server". This candle is lit last on ALL nights. Why?
The light of the Hanukkah Candles is not allowed to be used for anything, such as cooking, on lighting something else from it.
The light of the Hanukkah Candle is ONLY to be used for light.
So we use the "Shamash" if we need to make use of the flame for something else.
The Hanukkah candles remind us as the children song says: "we have come to chase away the darkness".
Hanukkah is all about "chasing away the darkness" in our lives. Because a small candle in the darkest of rooms will bring hope to the human heart.
So as you light the Hanukkah Menorah let your hearts fill with hope. See the light and not the darkness. Find the beauty the light gives you.
★ ★ ★ Hud Instructions For Hanukkiah (Hanukkah Menorah).★ ★ ★
✔ Menorah Textures - 30
By clicking on the 30 Textures underneath BASE the entire Hanukkiah will turn the color you chose.
If you wish to combine colors and textures click on Right or Left and the textures of the 4 Right or Left candle holders will change colors.
✔ Candle Textures - 10
Each candle can be textured a different color if you wish. The lines from 1-9 represent a candle on the Hanukkiah. The 9th is the "Shamash" the higher candle.
✔ To turn the flames on and off just touch the candle you want to turn and off.
✔ Bright on and off will turn the entire base Bright on or off.
✔ Resize will resize the Hanukkiah up or down. It is 10-12 LI as is.
(Do not mix up with Resize Hud which only works on the Hud itself)
