I created and scripted this item for my own use. The shooting-targets I could find was too fancy and complicated, sloppily made, or just didn't suit me for some other reason.
This is a target generator for shooting practice. It is low prim and low lag with no fancy stuff. Straight up target practice with as little fluff as possible. The Target Rack comes in two versions, one with targets that report hits and impact velocity in chat, and one that is quiet and doesn't say anything at all. Each come in two looks, a concrete block or a wooden bench.
The scripts should be pretty much zero lag as far as I know, there are no listeners, sensors or other laggy stuff running.
The main item is the target dispenser, a 1 prim concrete slab (or wooden bench). This is the only permanent prim.
Operation is dead simple, when you Touch the target rack it will rezz four targets in the form of tin cans. Each target is one prim (bringing the total to 5 prims when all targets are rezzed).
As you hit the cans they are destroyed. If not they self destruct after 30 seconds. The targets will pop from any impact over 50 m/s so it can probably be used with bows or any other projectile weapon, but I have only tested it with guns.
The racks are copy so you can rezz a bunch of them side by side if you want more targets. There are no fancy effects, no particle explosions, no sounds, no animated bouncing around, no parts of exploded targets littering the area. This is just plain straight target practice, which is what I wanted. If you want fancy stuff then this is clearly not the right product for you.

Exactly as it says.
No BS, just drag and drop your bench/concrete wall, click them, they spawn the targets, you shoot them, click them again and they spawn the targets again, and all for a really nice low price as well!
A great hang out helper between weapon enthusiasts in Second Life and a great thing to play with, to test various weapons and generally do stuff when bored to get unbored.
I highly recommend this to anyone who doesn't go to many combat sims but wants to refine their aiming skills.
