2 seat float helicopter. This is my personal favourite.
This has real simulation of helicopter physics and controls via mouselook. It does take a bit more practice to fly than most SL helicopters but it is well worth the effort as it gives outstanding control and manoeuvrability.
Working instruments which can be adjusted to suit different sized avatars. The analogue instruments do make the helicopter a little easier to fly than my cheaper helicopters with digital instruments, and there is no ugly hovertext.
Paint hud that lets you paint your helicopter any colour you like.
Eject function to lose uninvited passengers.
Optional group mode so you can let your friends try it.
Automatic update system.
All the usual sound and particle effects.
Now comes with the Drusilla Saunders aircraft fuel system. Fuel cans are included, compatible fuel is also available at most SL airports.
Very efficient scripts for smooth sim crossings.

I wish...
I wish two things would happen with helicopters in SL: 1:) That every heli use the Tegatti flight script. Lets face it, almost all helicopters in SL run like a flash web game. The Tegatti flight script engine is the only one where I feel like I'm actually flying a heli. 2:) That all motorized vehicles in SL would use Drusilla's fuel comsumption and refuel system. It makes driving around SL much more interesting, plus I just love pumping my own gas! :P
Let me save my fellow cartoons some valuable time here.....

Unless of course for some reason you prefer the ones that fly like toys, which sadly is the vast majority of the rest.
I've collected a nice harem of SL choppers, many of which were almost 3 times the cost of the Tegatti, and now that I own 2 Tegatti choppers I can't imagine the others getting any further use:(
Here's the deal...I'm a GA pilot and the downside of SL helos is the total lack of authentic flight characteristics.
They're made like that to enable anyone of any age and ability to fly them. I get that, I just don't like it.
These Tegatti's are for those of us who appreciate the challenge of something that demands to be mastered.
Having said that, fear not, you will master this fine flyer, but don't expect your first time out to be a no-brainer.
You have to think to fly one of these, but once you have a handle on it you will much appreciate the greatly extended control parameters so far not found with other SL choppers.
Soon, flying it will become second nature and you'll be painting the skies I promise.
Adding to the overall realism of this helicopter is the fact that it uses fuel, has to refuel, and can run out of fuel if you aren't paying attention.
Long flight duration capacity though AND there are av-gas stations all over SL...free of course.
Really, it just makes it all the more fun that you have to go get fuel, plus it makes for the perfect excuse to go flying!
I guess this would be the nitty-gritty bottom line right here -
If you want a helicopter because they look cool then you should probably spend your money on a paint job, but if you'd like to enjoy the excitement, freedom and sheer joy of flying a helo then buy a Tegatti.
Although lengthy I sincerely hope this review helps someone who wants to fly, get it right the first time.
I only wish someone had done the same for me.

The best " flight model" i have ever seen in SL. If someone is looking for how a helicopter flys..this one is the answer. I hope to see soon other helicopters by Tegen Barzane (modern also) with this type of script engine.
