Fred Levitt's Teleport Globes
These globes can be purchased in packs of two for L$99 and are designed to give you a simple but effective method of teleporting around your home, land or island. Once placed on the ground each globe is setup using the following four chat commands...
/101tp:NAME:TopFloor
..where 'TopFloor' is what you want the globe called. You will then see this name hovering above the globe announcing its destination.
/101tp:LOCATION:77,46,82
..sets the destination location, so simply scout the reference you want first and order the globe as above. The location must be within 300 meters of the globe. Use multiple globes to travel longer distances.
/101tp:CHANNEL:200
..sets the chat channel the globe listens on. If your not familiar with chat channels, the /101 in the above examples represents the frequency your are talking on (if you leave /101 out, as you would with normal chat between people, you'll end up chatting on channel 0). These globes are set by default to listen to your setup commands on channel 101 only. If you want to drop two globes in the same area, and want them to
respond to your commands independantly, then you need to change the channel for each globe to a unique channel, above 101, by using this command, where 200 is the channel you want. Its usually best to make this the first command you use when you first place a globe. Once done further commands need to be on that channel for that globe, so /200tp:NAME:SkyResort
/100tp:REPORT
..all globes in your area will report their channel and destination. All globes listen to channel 100 for this command only and this is not changed by the tp:CHANNEL: command
And thats it! So to teleport simply right click the globe and click the name of the globe from the pie menu. Once you arrive at your new destination its probably time to drop the second globe, set it up, and teleport back (you did write down the location reference, didn't you?).
One last thing. The first time you use a globe you may leave the in world camera behind you. If this happens simply hit the ESC key twice to return the camera to your new location. This only happens the first you use each globe, and will be fine after that so I will fix this in the
next version.
