GOT A BEACH OR OTHER GROUND SURFACE but want it to have more variation in its surface appearance? Try our easy to use Terrain Modifiers!
This is a very natural looking set of 10 different sculptured prims that allows you to modify your terrain by laying any of the prims on the ground and then applying any of the included 6 terrain textures to them. Owners can change textures with a single "touch" in the pie menu and also have modify and copy functions available so you can change the size and shape to fit your needs.
Or, if you prefer, MnM Designs also sells separately a set of only Terrain Modifiers (without any textures included) called Terrain Modifiers RAW, and a set of only Terrain Textures (without any terrain modifiers included).
Try a land surface with a gentle ground undulation, or make it very rocky...or anywhere in between! You have the ability to shape your land the way you want it! As always, you can come to Crossing Currents Island to see how it is used and learn more about it at your leisure. Contact Lie Rang or Dahlia Jayaram with any questions or for help finding your way to or around the island !
See item in Second LifeConcept great, item way overpriced for what you get
I love the imagination of MnM: yes, Second Life beaches are sterile, and textures with huge starfish in it doesn't cut it. This item and the beach detritus MnM makes are a step forward in creating realistic beaches. But this item shouldn't cost this much. Most Skye products, already expensive, aren't generally over 700L and they offer different shapes to fit your terrain. These are flat squares only, nice and crinkly (thanks!) so you have to terraform around them or set down beach forms to cover up their paper thin edges. 1500 lindens? The picture shows a terrain builder with considerable resources not mentioned in the description. MnM, consider making some of these curved in different ways, because the stretch options don't work very well; the Z direction in edit doesn't make them thicker, it merely lifts them up, like the move option. And turning them into prims makes the textures you kindly offer look painted on a flat surface. Overall, a terrific concept, but needs improvement. Thanks for the great idea!
