Texture Animation Helper

Details

This is a tool to assist you to easily get the parameters you want for animating textures. It works for all prim types and everything is controlled by informative menus - there are definetly no notecards to be configured. At the end it will tell you exactly what flags need to be set and what the parameter values are to put into llSetTextureAnim.

Whilst llSetTextureAnim is a quite 'small' function there are 7 modes than can be set (ANIM_ON, LOOP, REVERSE, PING-PONG, SMOOTH, ROTATE and SCALE) plus an additional 5 parameters. The parameters are used differently depending on the mode settings. This tool lets you set all or any combination of modes and instantly see the effect.

This tool (comes with an examples notecard and a range of textures) allows you to change the mode and parameter settings so you can see in real time what effect changes will have.

Each menu describes the parameter usage applicable to the mode flags and can save you hours changing settings inside a script and recompiling every time to see any changes.

You can add your own texture and the dynamic menu will let you select it and select which face it is applied to, the number of faces will adjust if you change the prim to another type (box to sphere for example) and will also recognise any prim cuts you may have applied and update the face numbers as appropriate.

Allows you to animate single frames or multiple frame pictures (similar to animated gifs) and everything in between, fully handles both Scaling and Rotating textures helping you get the perfect picture animation to make your prim stand out from the crowd.

Want to rotate your wheel textures? Different speeds perhaps? This tool makes it easy to get exactly what you want.

You get copy on the script, copy mod on all textures and the prim - drag the script out and use a copy in your build to get the textures moving just as you want them.

If the comprehensive instructions on the notecard and menus do not tell you all you need to know then contact me in world - always happy to help :-)

By the way, once started, the texture animation becomes part of the prim properties, you cannot stop it by just deleting the script - it needs to be explicitly stopped via the script like so -- llSetTextureAnim(FALSE, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0); (the only parameter that actually does anything is the word 'FALSE').

As always, low on price and high on quality.

If you think of some other 'helper' tools you might need or like, let me know, I'm sure I can accomodate you.
