After making the rounds to the usual suspects, looking for a texture that would work with my castle project, I stumbled onto these. If you are doing Goth, Victorian or anything other than modern pasteboard, these are fantastic! Rotate them so the shadow faces your prevailing windows and tint to match your color scheme... or not... they look good out of the box for most applications.
