I agree with the first reviewer that this is a good basic SL build certainly worth more than the 10 L$ price it is carrying at the time I write this. It looks decent for RP or cosplay or whatever but has no frills, meaning it is not scripted in any way -- if you want that, you'll have to find a way to add that yourself. The only other criticisms are the usual one for SL that it is too big for any avie I have ever seen, but happily that does not matter at all because you can make it as small or large as you want with the most basic single-step editing. Since it is basic and no frills (and too inexpensive for words for a decent build) you will also have to copy it in order to have two versions of the knife, one for your hand and one to attach inside the sheath. Anybody who can do very basic SL editing can do that in a few minutes. Finally, the lulu reviewer who said all the nasty one-star comments about this knife is obviously a spoiled millenial living in his mommy's basement at age 25 and doesn't know jack diddly about knives or any other damn thing he never saw in a videogame. The point is, NO K-Bar knife should EVER be shiny in RL - they are always black, dull, and looking like they just saw service from D-Day to the Fall of Berlin. They are a good old-fashioned man's work knife, the old rusty farm truck of the knife world, and not a toy for pussy wannabes, and that is what this build approximates well enough.

Now, here's the deal about this knife. What you see there in the picture? That's what you get. Period. Now clearly, the person who took this picture used some lighting effects to make it look even more exceptional than it already is, but the items included in the set ARE the items you see there. Perhaps, with the right lighting effects, they'll shine like that, but you probably won't be using those when you open it up, so don't expect them to be all shiny right out of the package. Furthermore, they are rather big upon opening up, but the Build function has some helpful tools to work them down to a good size. On top of all that, since they're Copy and Modify, you can script them with basically anything you want to script them with.

I bought this knife despite the reviews ages ago. Personally, I tend to use a Kemono avatar, so weapons are a little harder to figure out. However, this knife is an absolute doll. It looks realistic, it's able to be sized down or up to whatever handgrip you have, and with a little editing, you can even make a linked item which combines the sheath and the blade to get a "sheathed knife". I've been using my own "sheathed knife" frequently as of late, and it's still as great as ever, especially after combining it with some RP scripts that allow me to actually draw it if I want to (EXCELLENT choice as a diving knife, if I do say so myself). If you're curious about making a sheathed knife, I can put a comment on this post which talks about the sizing and positioning of the sheath and the knife for a good match on that, but for now, here's what you've got to do: BUY THIS KNIFE. It's cheap, it looks good, it's versatile, and it'll serve your needs excellently. Sure, consumerism is a terrible thing in the real world, but you know what the trick to fixing it is? Taking pleasure in the small things...Like this knife.

It looks terrible

...and it is huge. It looks super bad and the picture should be considered false advertising. It is obvious to me that the photo has been photoshoped. The blades metal doesn't even have a texture shine to it like the picture. It is dull and looks like I got it at a freebie place. Would 100% not recommend it.
